Hi all,

From memory there have been some good evaluations done in Australia, at both the State and Federal level.  Some are done by Govt, i.e. http://caldgroup.com.au/pdf/Improving%20the%20use%20of%20translating%20and%20interpreting%20services.pdf

and many others have been done by Vol/Ind sector services with a focus on CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse)communities – see online.

Somewhere I have got a hard copy of an evaluation of Language Line, I think but from distant  memory it wasn’t a particularly well-designed study.
