Tutorial Fellow in Media Practice (Fixed Term) Ref 751

School of Media Film & Music

Full Time, Fixed Term (01 September 2012 to 31 July 2013)
Salary range: £30,122 to £35,938 per annum

Expected start date: 01 September 2012

Description

The School of Media Film and Music at the University of Sussex wishes to appoint a Tutorial Fellow in Media Practice for 11 months from 01 September 2012 to contribute teaching into a range of courses on the BA in Media Practice with the possibility of teaching on our practice-based MA courses as well.

The successful candidate will possess a completed doctorate in Media Practice or will have equivalent scholarly or relevant professional activity. The successful candidate will also have teaching experience at least to undergraduate level. The main roles will be lecturing and teaching practice-based seminars (referred to as workshops) and the production of on-line resources to support classes. In addition there will be tutorial teaching and pastoral work.

The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
