Kind regards Kerry O'Neil Service Development Manager Bedford Borough Libraries Team Librarian – Adult (fixed term until April 2014) Team Librarian – Youth (permanent) £22,221- £24,646 for Chartered Librarians £17,161- £19,126 for qualified but Unchartered Librarians (progression to £22,221- £24,646 with Chartership) We are looking for 2 highly motivated, innovative professionally qualified librarians with a flexible approach and excellent communication skills to help us deliver a high quality library service across the Borough. As well as welcoming new ideas and responding to change you will have the ability to promote and develop services and to stimulate enthusiasm for reading and libraries. You will be responsible for resource management, promotional activities, contributing to the Virtual Library and providing support and training for library staff. You should have a positive attitude to new ways of delivering the service and be able to enthuse and motivate others. You will need to have an excellent understanding of IT in a modern library service, up to date stock knowledge and the ability to deliver effective reading development and promotional activities for adults/children from all communities.
