Dear friends and colleagues (apologies for cross posting)

*“The customer and the map curator, or, the importance of being
relevant”* - Annual Workshop of the Map Curators’ Group (MCG) of the
British Cartographic Society

The purpose of this message is two -fold:

- To let you know that we have had a last minute programme change. We
are very pleased to announce that Seppe Cassettari (CEO, The
GeoInformation Group) has agreed to speak on the topic of 'Do you need
GIS to be relevant?'

- And, most importantly, to remind you that the booking deadline is fast
approaching! (A late booking fee of £50 applies for bookings made after
10 August; no bookings can be accepted after 17 August).

The Workshopwill be held at the University of Leeds, England, on
Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th August 2012.

Thetheme is *“The customer and the map curator, or, the importance of
being relevant”*.

The programme and booking form can be found at
http://www.cartography.org.uk/default.asp?contentID=1035 . The programme
is also reproduced below.

B&B arrangements in the University’s newly refurbished Storm Jameson
Court http://www.meetinleeds.co.uk/stormjamesoncourt.php are available
at special rates for the Workshop. Delegates should book and pay via the
link available on the booking form.

So please come and join us in Leeds - you don't have to be a member of
