John - will you be specifically referring to LD in your communication? There is no concept of LD in some institutions despite some of us promoting its principles. LD is often promoted as Study Skills and it might not reach the people who would like to contribute.

Best wishes all

Jeanette

Hello Stephen and all

I too am interested in obtaining this kind of data - not least for my own EdD, which is about the nature of learning development in the UK. I'd be happy to share what I uncover with the list. Chris Keenan and I have also proposed to the ALDinHE Steering Group that we discuss this at our late August meeting. I'm sure Chris will report to LDHEN about launching a new research group for the Association in the fairly near future. For my own research I'll be writing to all HEIs in the UK to ask about LD type provision and will certainly alert the list when that request goes out so you can be aware that it is in circulation and can contribute if you want to.

John

Hello all,

This sounds like a really good idea. Could the directory include those of us who aren't in established LD centres or have other titles, like librarians, writing fellows, project researchers? And would it be worth crowdsourcing entries via an online form?

All good wishes,
Emma.
