Dear Gulp-ers The programme for PoRT looks fascinating. I'm just sorry that I won't be able to join you. I have a question, though: does anyone happen to have information about the present whereabouts of Brian J. Wenk, who wrote a handful of articles on French rhythm with François Wioland in the 1980s? The best known is 'Is French really syllable-timed?' in JPhon. Wioland is in Strasbourg, but what Wenk? Any information? All the best Mike
