Our client based in Buckinghamshire has a requirement for a GIS Technical Account Manager to join their expanding team.

The key responsibilities include:

•Building long-term relations with existing clients via the telephone
•Taking ownership of any potential issues and working with colleagues to resolve them for the client
•Helping clients maximise the benefits of their current GIS, and to help promote its use in their organisation
•Identifying any potential opportunities to extend the use of GIS software and  services

The role will be of interest to candidates who have a background in implementing GIS, and can demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with customers. 

This is an office telephone based role and excellent verbal communications skills are essential.  Experience of sales would be an advantage, however onsite training will be provided

Ideally sought candidates will possess the following skills, however candidates with less experience but with the necessary skills will be considered

•Two or more years’ experience of implementing GIS 
•Two years’ experience of working in a customer facing role
•Be able to understand the customer’s needs and help develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs
•Excellent telephone based skills
•Excellent customer relationship building skills 
•Good understanding of GIS 
•Basic understanding of IT infrastructure that underpins GIS
