Description: The
GreyForum
Series
The GreyForum is a series of onsite and online courses, seminars, and workshops where grey literature
provides common ground for information professionals in the process of knowledge transfer

The first in this series is a workshop organized by InfoEthics UK in collaboration with GreyNet International and will be held in Oxford, England on 6 September 2012

Grey Literature and Information Ethics: Key Shared Concerns

Artwork by Jeroen Hoogstraten

The underlying premise of this workshop is that by acquiring a better understanding of information ethics, a fuller understanding of what grey literature is and is not will be achieved. GreyNet International and InfoEthics UK share certain key concerns facing the digital information community.  Grey literature and information ethics are fundamental to library and information science. In preparation for this workshop, a comparative analysis of key concerns in both areas identified ● peer review ● digital preservation ● privacy ● standardization ● validation and ● equitable pricing as formidable challenges that must be addressed. http://www.greynet.org/greyforumseries.html
