Job vacancy: researcher on ESRC project on celebrity and young people

Brunel University is advertising for a 0.5 researcher on an 20 month ESRC funded study (From 1 October 2012), led by Dr Heather Mendick and Dr Kim Allen, on The Role of Celebrity in Young People's Classed and Gendered Aspirations. 

This youth-centred study will combine individual and group interviews with online forums and celebrity case studies. Candidates should have a doctorate (or be close to one) in a relevant discipline, experience of conducting social science research, be familiar with working with people in education settings and of using a variety of qualitative research methods. Experience of preparing research data and reporting the results of activities is also sought.

Salary: £28,945 to £38,104 inc London Weighting pro-rata
