Research Associate/Research Fellow (Clinical Trial Statistician) 
Salary Range: Level B: £27,400 - £39,920 or Level C: £36,770 - £48,400 per annum
The Imperial Clinical Trials Unit is a new and exciting development within the Imperial Academic Health Science Centre, which aims to deliver high-quality clinical trials relevant to local and global health by bringing together academic, trial management and clinical expertise. Our focus is currently on a number of therapeutic areas including cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, respiratory disease, emergency medicine and critical care, HIV and infectious diseases. Further key areas continue to be developed including neuroscience, mental health and ageing. 
As our portfolio of trials continue to increase we are looking for a Clinical Trial Statistician to join the team to provide statistical support and assistance in all aspects of the design, implementation, running, analysis and dissemination of results from clinical trials and related research studies.
You must hold a PhD or equivalent in statistics or medical statistics. Experience of using standard statistical packages, such as STATA, R and SAS as well as a demonstrable interest in clinical trials are also essential requirements.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) or part time (minimum 21 hours per week) and fixed-term until 31 August 2013 in the first instance, and is based at the St Mary’s Campus (Paddington).
