Dear all,

We are currently building a new LIMS database and were wondering how other laboratories reported timed urine results – as concentration/collection or concentration/time period.  If concentration/time period is used, do you report per the actual period of collection, or per 24 hours and correct up/down to 24 hours depending on the collection?

As well as knowing what other laboratories currently do, we would also be interested in your thoughts as to what you think laboratories ought to be doing – I am happy to feedback to the mail-base if anyone else is interested.

Many thanks,

Rachel
