“interns of 9 months- 1 year that are unpaid”

Isn’t that illegal?

The government has already gone for the rag trade on this one. The media should be next. Dunno about sports nutrition.

PS How much is the “London living wage” referred to elsewhere?

I whole-heartedly concur with Ollie.
I am desperately trying to break into sports nutrition, and have applied for interns of 9months- 1 year that are unpaid!
This is very short term at the British Science Association and as it represents a great experience would no doubt get an influx of applications with no wage!

We're looking for an enthusiastic, energetic new recruit to support the busy Science in Society programme - we feel that this role would particularly suit someone new to the field of public engagement and looking for more experience.
