Hi All

The Society for General Microbiology has recently produced some new educational videos which are currently on our YouTube channel.

We have a series of short animations explaining the formation of root nodules, mycorrhizal fungi-plant interactions and one on the nitrogen cycle. These were part of an exhibit we put on at Chelsea Flower Show last month. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE2A485A296FE9590

We also have online the first of two videos aimed at primary students (and their teachers) that focus on yeast as a micro-organism. The first one features students baking bread. The second (coming soon!) shows students carrying out our 'yeast balloons' experiment. http://youtu.be/gYXjURcBk98 We also have a downloadable comic telling the history of yeast that accompanies these videos and includes a recipe for making bread. A pdf of the yeast balloon experiment will also soon be available.

We are keen to promote these resources as much as we can, so if anybody could suggest any good outlets or organizations who might be able to use them, do let us know!

Many thanks,
Laura
