I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your responses on my
question about paid advertising. Apologies for just sitting back and
not responding before. I was away in a conference and then my computer
died with a virus attack. I'm still interested to hear more views. It
seems that overall it's something to be approached with caution, being
sure it suits your site and brand, and have enough traffic to make it
worth it. However, there might be circumstances when it works and
opportunities to be imaginative and complementary in partnerships and
so on.

Thanks again
Bridget
