David, Words cannot possibly do justice to the sense of eager anticipation with which I followed the link below, expecting to be lulled into a soporific state by some delightful lyric poem as the word "ode" is defined in the vast assortment of dictionaries in which I looked it up. Imagine my disappointment when the promised ode turned out to be a mere newspaper article in The Scotsman. Please convey my dissatisfaction to your brummie mate.
