Subject: ALGAO charging

Dear All

Apologies if this has been discussed and I have missed it but following the ALGAO charging advice note in May, I was unsure what to do. According to this HER's should charge no more than 10p a photocopy. However, the Surrey HER sits within a Heritage service and I have always kept in line with their photocopy pricing structure. It may get to a situation where visitors in the HER are paying one price (10p) and the archive in the same building is charging much more and in some cases we hold similar information.

Just wondering what people's opinions were on the situation and what they have previously charged for photocopying and are planning to do in the future?

Best wishes

Sophie
