We want to build on our success and are investing in 4 Chairs and 1 Senior Lectureship to support strategic growth in both our established and developing work.

Chair in nursing and/or midwifery – 1 post

We have a strong portfolio of research on patient care, the healthcare workforce and health services research as well as established programmes of nursing and midwifery education. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic research leader with experience of teaching in higher education. Qualification as a registered nurse/midwife is essential.

Chairs in health services research and population health science – 3 posts

We are looking to offer Chairs to researchers with internationally-recognised expertise in health services research and/or population health sciences. We expect our new Chairs to contribute to our taught post-graduate programmes and be willing to support the careers of research students and early-career staff.

We would particularly welcome applications in the following areas:

·    Addiction

·    Biostatistics

·    Health policy

·     Mental health

·      Psychology applied to health and health services

For all posts, we are looking for researchers with an innovative individual programme of research and a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the Department of Health Sciences.
