We just finished the Interpretive Master Planning Course at
Plas Tan y Bwlch (Snowdonia National Park Training Center - Wales) and are now
getting ready for the next interpretive training opportunity taught by John
Veverka.
- Planning and Design of Interpretive Media- 3-5
September, 2012.
This course is limited to 12 participants, and will
focus in detail on planning and design of interpretive panels, museum exhibits,
web sites, and cell phone interpretation. Bring interpretive panel or

2013 - Interpretive Master
Planning
This course covers how to develop interpretive master plans
for parks, historic sites, ship museums, RSPB sites, museums, community parks
and trails, botanical gardesn, zoos and other related interpretive
attractions. The latest in interpretive planning strategies
are presented in magical ways and you work on your interpretive planning
project in the course. We focus on objective and outcome based
interpretive planning, and mass customization strategies for large

3-5 September 2013
- Training for Interpretive Trainers. How to teach
interpretation philosophy, strategies and program delivery techniques to
others. The course is designed for education curators, interpretive
managers, university instructors, anyone charged with training their full time
or seasonal interpretive staff or university students, but have had
no extensive training in interpretive services themselves.This course is limited
to 12 participants, and a copy of John's new book "The Interpretive
Trainers Handbook" will be included in the course fee along with a
ton of teaching aides, teaching examples and resource CD on how to Provoke, Relate and Reveal your messages to
others. This course is only offered once ever 3-4 years.
