Hi everyone I have tried to initiate contact with them through the medium of Twitter (which is new to me but its where I first found out about the group!), I will keep you all posted if the conversation develops! I think it could potentially be helpful to try and make contact with them and explore if there is any synergies between the different areas of work, perhaps sharing practice etc, maybe we could all learn some new things from each other?!! Great to see people at the event yesterday and thanks to Ruth, Sonia, Ann, Jeff and everyone else who helped organize it. Doug Cole sent me info on this new institute http://www.iemployability.org/ <http://www.iemployability.org/> . It is interesting that the language is immediately familiar - 'employability' - but their remit is narrowly on 'unemployed people' and ours is equally narrow - more curriculum delivery and development in HE. However our paths and work may cross as some of us might also have remits relating to unemployed graduates or may know other people in this field who might be interested. Please share:-) The 'Pedagogy for Employability: Implications for Practice' day here yesterday has resulted in lots of things to write up which will be shared with you all in the next few weeks! I wasn't thinking of joining but just thought they had got a head start on the name if it was something that was ever going to come about in our world! Feel free to share with the list if you like and I can do some more digging in the meantime if that works ? Was great to see you too and really appreciated the advice! Will come back to you on that soon Best Regards Doug x From: Ruth Lawton [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 13 June 2012 13:13 To: Doug Cole Subject: IEP Hello Interesting - interesting that the language is immediately similar 'employability' but their remit is narrowly on 'unemployed people' - are you thinking of joining?
