On 4 July - Mark Restall has developed a focused training workshop on *Volunteers and the Law: Key topics* http://bit.ly/Volunteers_Law. It is for all those who need to know the legal position when involving volunteers in their work. Volunteers don't have the same legal rights as employees, but you do have responsibilities towards them. This course explains the relevant key legal issues in plain English. The Benefits of joining the session Your organisation will thank you for gaining: • An understanding of the basic legal position when involving volunteers • A working knowledge of contractual obligations • An understanding of health and safety and child protection legal issues, including the current situation for criminal record checking • An understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and its impact on volunteering • Clarity on any restrictions on volunteering by benefit claimants, ex-offenders and non-British citizens What to do next The course takes place in central London and costs £145 plus VAT.
