Dear all
I wrote a speculative blog post on data portability and records management.

http://t.co/AMB10aEU

I sketch two possible futures one as a digital shadow and the other as a digital shell.

The first means that people retain access to and control over the information but do not actually possess it.

The second means that people have to carry it around and manage it themselves.

I then suggest that this may have some effects on records management if data portability gets into government and other organisations.

I would be interested in your views on this either here or on the blog.

Best
