Hi all,

I agree with others on this topic, I can’t see any reason why a records manager should be CRB checked. Having said that, what should be default for all records managers is an additional contractual clause covering security and privacy requirements.

Cheers

Paula

I imagine that the requirement for a CRB Check is dependent on the sector in which the RM is working.

Unless there is a specific requirement (as per previous comments) I feel the default answer would be no.

It is either an easy Yes or No I think but my view of this was that as RM’s neither work with Children or Vulnerable Adults it was not necessary….however they do come into contact with Case Files relating to both so I thought I would ask before starting to make further enquiries! Any pointers/recommendations greatly received.

	Sincerely,
