Dear all

Given the amount of positive responses to last week's Monday's Chiild video posting, I'd thought I'd share the next video in the series: http://www.esrc.ac.uk/publications/multimedia/seven-days/

The theme this week is charity and volunteering, reflecting that ‘Tuesday’s child is full of grace’. The section features a video with the ESRC Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy’s Cathy Pharoah as well as a selection of charity-related research.

The UK is a nation of givers. Charitable giving from UK households has remained stable over the last two decades - with the poorer households donating the highest percentage of their earnings. Others instead donate their time or expertise: both volunteers and wealthy entrepreneurs can create lasting change in society.

If you'd like to Tweet, our hash tag is #sevendays .

I hope you find this short video entertaining and informative.

Comments are of course welcome!

Many thanks

Melanie
