Apologies for cross-posting, but list members may be interested in a communications internship currently available at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), based in Mexico. Full details and application information can be found at http://www.cimmyt.org/en/about-us/job-opportunities/1323-2012-communications-internship-for-global-agricultural-research-center-in-mexico, but the main responsibilities are writing and editing the weekly internal newsletter, managing CIMMYT's social media, contributing to communications strategies, and other tasks relevant to the skills of the individual (e.g. editing scientific papers for publication in Crop Science etc.). The position is for one year and the successful applicant would ideally start in June. Benefits include a monthly stipend (paid in US dollars), housing allowance, health insurance, and flights to and from Mexico. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset but not essential.
