It's been a few years but we used to recommend similar microposture breaks to the DSE workers....30-60 seconds every 15-20 minutes....and neck and upper limb movements during the posture break. One lab I worked with did it to a kitchen timer and once they all stopped laughing they felt benefit

A new member to jiscmail, does anybody know if there is a specified rest period for operators viewing down microscopes.

Presently viewing all shift apart from normal breaks, operators are viewing metal components for burrs or other faults.
