It depends upon the scheme requirements. The West Yorkshire Pension Fund that our staff contribute to has clear rules that approved listed (by them) doctors have to be the assessors.
Teachers' pension scheme have now altered their documentation so OHNs can't do the work up / present the info any more.

We are in the process of reviewing our processes and procedures iro the above- is anyone out there working with the LGPS that we can liaise with? At present we are using an
OHA for the first opinion, and the second opinion is given by our OHP. When I worked at Hampshire CC we used 2 OHPs. What are others doing?
