I know we have discussed this on Jisc numerous times but I am really incensed by this! I qualified way back in 1977 and paid what was supposedly a one-off fee (I think it was £68) to remain on the register for the rest of my professional career. The thought of continually paying to enable me to use my hard-earned skills is galling to say the least! Anyway, back to the work in hand! I`m not sure whether this view is right, but if you do take that as a starting point then it does become clearer why they are hiking the cost of registration.
