We write this to the managers on the fit form and use it in the email to the employee when sending them an invite for a new starters appointment with the addition of 'Your
manager has been informed of the need for you to be risk assessed to ensure that any necessary restirctions are put in place for your protection and that of your colleagues and patinets'
"This applicant needs an OH appointment on starting. There is insufficient evidence of compliance with Trust Infection Control Policy. It is recommended that the Line Manager
ring in advance of their start date to secure an appointment for their first week.
It is important to know that until further evidence is available, the employee is considered at risk to themselves and the patients from: (deleted as applicable)

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Urgent advice- to revamp a few sentances in HR letter of appointment to see OH
Hello List
I have been asked to write a few sentences to go in the HR letter of appointment which is sent out to all Clinicians to explain that on their first day they must
attend OH to check through their vaccination details and blood test results with a view to be vaccinated and bloods taken on that day if necessary.
Rather than re-inventing the wheel would anyone be kind enough to share any of the standard sentences they use and which also explain the rationale for this ...e.g....this
is to ensure that you do not pose a risk to your patients and they in turn do not put your health at risk....something like that?
I would be grateful for any help.
With thanks
Annie
