Post Title: The John Sherlock Assistant Professor in Screenwriting
Post Status: Five-year contract

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Department of Education and Skills Lecturer Scale in line with current Government pay policy
Closing Date: 12 Noon on Wednesday 30th May 2012 

The Department of Film Studies seeks to appoint The John Sherlock Assistant Professor in Screenwriting. The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant area, and will already have shown evidence of research potential and teaching. He/she will be expected to contribute to, and develop, existing undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Screenwriting and Creative Practice, and to supervise doctoral research. The person appointed will also be expected to contribute to administrative duties in the Department of Film Studies.
