This seminar outlines best practice principles in the use of web-based
evaluation approaches (e.g. web-based surveys), as well as approaches to
evaluating web-based public engagement and learning activities. We will
consider both the potential and limitations of a range of technologies for
data collection in evaluation research, including using first-person
audio/video recorders and iPads. This seminar will also include a very
brief introduction to the benefits and limitations of qualitative data
analysis software, the quantitative software SPSS and other software tools
available to support analysis of evaluation data.
