Subject: Customer Care / Floor Walking Training for Libraries
Dear All
Here in Hackney we are looking at sourcing training on customer care and floor walking as part of a staff development programme. We would like to hear from any
authority that has organised separate training on customer care or floor walking or one that combined both. We are particularly interested in in-house training provided by acknowledged companies (not CILIP), consortia or individuals. Which external provider
has your authority used? Was the emphasis of the training and content tailored to the library environment? Was it cost effective and did it address your specific requirements?
Any comments and feedback is welcome and I will also post a summary of responses.
