This year’s CDG Conference will be held at
Austin Court, Birmingham on Wednesday 18th July 2012.
The Career Development Group is presenting a single conference which aims to bring together all innovative information professionals, whether they are new to the profession or have been part of it for a number of years’.
Presenters will represent both new and experienced professionals, and a variety of sectors
with presentations around the themes of ‘Sharing Knowledge and Expertise’, the ‘Wider Professional Outlook’ and ‘Collaboration and Partnership’
Presentations include:

Resurrecting a library service

Producing the evidence for effective evidence-based librarianship
·
Library workers behind bars
·
Developing your own skills network
·
The development and implementation of a collaborative, informal training event for staff and managers in an academic law library
·
Cross-sectoral staff development with CLIC
·
Shelving together: collaborative working throughout different library environments
·
Librarians Awake!
There is also a choice of workshops for delegates and a presentation from CILIP about the Future Skills Project.
Delegate fees (including lunch and refreshments):
CDG members - £90 + VAT = £108 (early bird £80 + VAT = £96 if booked by Friday 29 June)
Non
members - £110 + VAT = £122 (early bird £100 + VAT = £120 if booked by Friday 29 June)
Students & Unwaged - £50 VAT = £60
Delegate rate includes morning and afternoon refreshments and buffet lunch
