Dear Elizabeth, Thomson Reuters is selecting book content for the Book Citation Index from commercial, society and university presses worldwide. The index launched in October 2011 with 30K books and will grow annually by 10K. Books in Web of Science have added 400K book chapters and 16M cited references to the database. We will update the selection essay to more accurately describe our approach to building the content for this product. I’m happy to answer any questions offline.
