Andy, not sure what Clause 8.1 is but when you purchase InCites you have access to the ‘premium’ level of WoS Web Services – which allows you to download additional metadata fields to your repository – including abstract, funder and citation fields.

InCites and the IR
I apologise if this question has been asked / answered in the past. Here at Portsmouth we are on the point of purchasing Thomson Reuter's InCites. I have been asked about a specific clause in the agreement (clause 8.1) which relates to the Institutional Repository Licence. The clause seems pretty opaque to me and rather than try and tease out its meaning I thought I would ask any IR managers (any whose institution has bought InCites) how InCites has impacted on the day-to-day running of the repository. I suppose my question is this: are you doing anything different with your IR post-Incites compared with what you were doing before you purchased InCites?
Any help or advice will be gratefully received.
Best wishes,
Andy
