My client is urgently looking to recruit a Mapping and Survey Technician to join their busy team. Interviews: immediate Start: as soon as possible Main Task & Responsibilities Provide mapping support using ArcGIS, AutoCAD Map and MapInfo Manage the collection and distribution of data from numerous sources Carry out GPS surveys and incorporate into CAD/GIS datasets Participate in route walking & site surveying Key Knowledge Use of ArcGIS, MapInfo & AutoCAD to produce maps and plans is essential Use of differential GPS, post processing and conversion to CAD/GIS is essential Technical experience, use of ESRI ArcGIS, MapInfo and AutoCAD is essential Experience on linear assets (pipelines etc) is desirable but not essential Qualifications/Experience Preferably educated to degree standard, although other qualifications, backed up with suitable experience will be considered Ideally circa 2+ years experience (ideally within the utilities industry) General Requirements Attention to detail Excellent analytical skills Good communication and interpersonal skill (some client-facing work will be required) Full driving licence Physically fit for route walking/ surveying Excellent IT skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office products This is an urgent requirement that will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to join a dynamic organisation and take the next step in their career.
