Bringing up Baby can get a really good discussion going with students.
Stanley Cavell Pursuits of Happiness great set reading with it.  But you
dont' want the students to read it beforehand.  A lot of them won't pick up
on the innuendo until seminars.

Yes, The Grapes of Wrath, and His Girl Friday. Hawks' Ball of Fire and
Bringing Up Baby are great too. Given that you have a subject who is most
commonly associated with the western, perhaps it's worth emphasizing the
other genres in the treatment of Hawks.
