Final Call for Papers

 

Papers of 20-minute duration and posters are mainly invited in relation to the following non-exhaustive thematic strands:

1. The contribution of languages in fostering intercultural dialogue;

2. The role of the lingua francas in the XXI century;

3.  The place of minority languages in a globalised world;

4.  Bilingual and multilingual education;

5.  World Wide Web and language learning;

6.  Translation and interpreting in a globalised world.

 

Abstract proposals should be submitted to [log in to unmask] The deadline for abstract submission is 1 June 2012, with final decisions on acceptance being made by 29 June 2012.   Further details on the conference are available on  www.leedsmet.ac.uk/languagesglobalisedworld along with abstract guidelines. 

 

Costs and bookings

The registration fee for all delegates, including presenters is GBP195 per person. It includes the conference pack, refreshments and lunch on both days and one conference dinner.  The registration deadline and conference fee payment deadline is 6 August 2012. Further details will be provided in due course.
