English Language Tutor (E-Learning)

Royal Holloway, University of London - Royal Holloway International

2 Posts - 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time (0.5 FTE)
Salary is in the range £32,256 to £38,072 pro rata per annum inclusive of London Allowance

Royal Holloway International are looking to appoint two English Language Tutors (E-Learning) to shape the development of E-Learning within the department and to complement the English language expertise already present. The successful candidates will be expected to drive the embedding of educational technologies in the teaching provision of the department. They will also teach on a range of EAP courses for international students and act as a personal tutor whilst also contributing to the wider activities of the department.

The successful candidates will be required to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of non-native English speaking students at universities in the UK and relevant experience in the field of teaching English as a Foreign Language and/or for academic purposes. Essential requirements also include a solid theoretical and practical knowledge of e-learning pedagogy and significant experience of the application of educational technologies.

Further key attributes include a relevant degree or equivalent and a recognized EFL qualification at diploma level or above. A postgraduate degree and/or a qualification in educational technologies or equivalent are desirable.

We have two posts available, one is a full time position and the other is 0.5 FTE. A job share would be considered for both posts if appropriate. These posts are based in Egham, Surrey.
