Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Social Policy/Comparative Policy with particular reference to Mainland China) in the Department of Public and Social Administration [Ref. C/093/09] 
City University of Hong Kong is a dynamic, fast-growing university that is pursuing excellence in research and professional education. Currently, the University has six Colleges/Schools. Within the next two years, the University aims to recruit 100 more scholars from all over the world in various disciplines, including science, engineering, business, social sciences, humanities, law, creative media, energy, environment, and other strategic growth areas.

Duties
Be an active researcher, dedicated to university teaching and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees. The appointee is also required to undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements
A PhD in Social Sciences related disciplines. Excellent teaching skills and strong research potential are required. Preference will be given to candidates who will be able to contribute in more than one discipline.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
