Hi Jackie
You've answered your question -
retention schedule is 2 hyears. You should be more concerned with the handover
process to a new member of staff.

Subject: retention of emails of ex-staff members
Dear colleagues,
I have received an enquiry about how long emails of ex-staff
members should be retained. (All our emails are automatically put into a
vault after 6 weeks and then automatically destroyed after 2 years.)
Do colleagues close down email accounts of staff who have
left after a certain time?
I would be grateful for your input on this.
Many thanks
Jackie
