I also have had the same problem, Karl, but never felt able to ask for help because in the end the LO would open up eventually! But I’m delighted to know the very simple answer now –
thanks!

Thanks Ron and Julian, that works perfectly and saves me a lot of time.
Best wishes,

If the wizard doesn't open automatically just double click the top icon in the tree. In most cases that will probably be named Xerte Online Toolkit

Subject: Template issue
This isn’t a big issue but has always left me confused.
I use standalone Xerte with the ‘Page Templates’ from
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/xerte/resources.htm
After editing an object I have created, I open it for editing by clicking on the .rlt file.
When I first started using Xerte I found that sometimes the .rlt file opened with the correct simple template; other times it opened with the default Xerte
appearance (which baffles me!) No matter how long I leave it, it does not go on to load the version in the simple template. Therefore I close it and reopen it again. Sometimes it takes up to four attempts before it opens properly. I originally assumed it was
just the fault of my old PC (a laptop with Windows XP). However I am now on a new PC with Windows 7, and have been having this same issue.
I just did a quick screen capture at
http://media.skoffer.com/9eb5b635a5808b5846edee56300d78b6.flv
which shows the correct template opening on the second attempt.
I just wondered – am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this problem? How come I always do the same thing, yet sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn’t, apparently 50/50 likelihood?
Many thanks for any ideas,
Karl
