Hi James

Just thought I'd checked our WISM1's running 7.0.230.0 and we too are seeing the same thing.

Hope this helps.

Martyn

Subject: A query for those with Cisco controllers...

Hi All,

We have Cisco WISM2 running 7.0.220 or 7.2.103, we are seeing the
controller re-broadcast gratuitous ARP across VLANs (i.e. any gARP from
wireless clients on any VLAN is re-broadcast by the WLC to other wireless
clients) - "bad" for obvious reasons.

If you have a spare moment and cisco kit running these versions, would you
mind firing up wireshark on a wireless client and checking if you also are
getting tons of gARP? ...I'm trying to determine if the behaviour is a
'feature' of our topology/config or if it's a code bug.

Cisco originally reckoned it was CSCtj91693, which is also gARP related,
but this is fixed in 7.2.103. We appear to still have the issue with
7.2.103.

Kind regards,
  James
