I cannot reproduce this problem. I get dates if I open your file in OxMetrics and save it. A column with observation numbers is added. First rows read:
Date LUK
1 2005-01-05 3.240189683
2 2005-01-12 3.240219658
What you might do:
In OxMetrics, select the Date column and choose Edit>VariableDescription. Check whether variable type is Date. If not, you can change this here. In that case the problem was in recognizing the date column from Excel as dates. Otherwise the problem is in the
saving.
I do not find a date format option in OxMetrics.
Of course it is possible to set the cell properties in Excel to date.
