And if you want to store the keys on site safely you can get a combination wall mounted keysafe as used by district nurses and carers outside peoples homes who cannot get up to open the door. We have one in our department and it ensures that the keys are avialble, only one set exists and only OH staff know the code. This means that you don't have to save bulky files at home, but nobody else can gain access. Hope this helps? We kept the files on our premises. It also meant it was easier for the company to keep the OH contract with us as they knew we kept everything safe and up to date.
