Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Hacked emails
Hi all
Not sure if I am the only one but I am getting an increasing number of emails from Jisc participants with dodgy attachments and links indicating that the account has probably been hacked. Please delete and do not open anything you are not absolutely certain about. I am no expert but it appears that once you open the sorts of emails I am getting and more importantly click on the link that comes with it, you pick up a virus that seems to affect your address book and the same message with attached virus is distributed again. And so it goes on.
I hope I am not next. Eset virus software is the one recommended to us by the various IT folk we have used and seems to have kept us safe so far. You do pay a bit but it’s probably worth it.
