This one-day international conference looks to trace connections between the narratives of contemporary screen media and their conditions of production, distribution and consumption. Speakers will, throughout the day, explore ways in which stories and their on-screen telling are informed by contemporary industrial and technological contexts across such media as film, television, comics, theatre and videogames.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership.
