(Apologies for cross-posting) Conference details: CONTEMPORARY SCREEN NARRATIVES conference Date: Thursday 17 May 2012 Location: Portland Building, University Park, University of Nottingham Time: 09:10 - 19:30 Keynote presentations: HENRY JENKINS (University of Southern California) JASON MITTELL (Middlebury College) This one-day international conference looks to trace connections between the narratives of contemporary screen media and their conditions of production, distribution and consumption. Speakers will, throughout the day, explore ways in which stories and their on-screen telling are informed by contemporary industrial and technological contexts across such media as film, television, comics, theatre and videogames.
