Dear All Many thanks to everyone who took the trouble to respond; and especially to Rob in Inverness, who called me. The MRCP told him they are 'well out of date', & to point enquirers to http://www.mrcpuk.org/PACES/Pages/_Home.aspx So - potential fire hazards aside - they are being decommissioned as I write this...together with floppies that no longer work on current systems.
