I seem to recall reading one about the impact that limited green spaces amongst BME communities had upon wellbeing:

A quick google brings up a couple of others that might also be of interest:

Hope this helps.

Subject: Help with a search on the healthy urban environment

Someone from our Public Health Dept. has asked for a literature search on the influence of urban design/planning on healthy living. This seems cover a wide range of concepts including design of the built environment to improve access to local amenities, services, green and open spaces; to increase access to and encourage use of alternative transport, e.g. walking or cycling and to encourage/promote increased physical activity.

Has anyone done anything on this that they would be willing to share or  does anyone know of any websites/ other resources/databases that might be useful?

Any help would be appreciated as the user is hoping to find research and case studies in the UK or even Europe, but most of the literature and reports I've retrieved so far are from the US and Australia. I would, of course, summarise any results for the group.

Regards,

Liz
