Apologies for cross posting .....

Attend the FIL Interlib 2012 Conference in Worcester this June as a sponsored FIL delegate!

The Forum for Interlending and Information Delivery (FIL) is offering a sponsored delegate place at the forthcoming Interlend 2012 conference<http://www.forumforinterlending.org.uk/interlend-2012-booking-open> (http://www.forumforinterlending.org.uk/interlend-2012-booking-open), to be held at the University of Worcester City Campus, 25th-26th June 2012. The sponsorship award covers the cost of attendance at the conference, all meals, accommodation and reasonable travel expenses.

Application Process

To be considered, a letter of application should be sent to the FIL Committee. This should include:

*         Full name

* Contact details (email, tel, address)

* Note availability to attend the conference if the award is granted.

* Applicants should also include a brief explanation of why they wish to attend, as well as the value that they and their organisation would gain from attendance at Interlend 2012 (300-400 words).

The Committee especially welcomes applications from library students, or unwaged former library staff.

As a condition of the award the successful applicant is required to submit a report, evaluation or critical appraisal of the conference by the end of August 2012. These will be published in a forthcoming issue of the FIL Newsletter, as well as being used on the Forum's website with elements being reused in future FIL publicity as deemed appropriate.

Awarding

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 16th May 2012. The Committee aims to notify the successful and unsuccessful applicants of their decision within 5 working days of the closing date.

The FIL Committee will consider all applications and make the award to the applicant whom they believe would gain the most demonstrable benefit from attendance.

In the event there are no suitable submissions the Committee reserves the right not to make the award.

A place at the conference has already been reserved. However, the successful applicant will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements, the cost of which will be refunded by FIL as part of the award.

Eligibility

* Current members and observers of the FIL Committee are not eligible.

* Applicants for this conference award must already have permission from their organisation (as appropriate) and the ability to attend for the whole conference.

Submission

Applications should be e-mailed to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>, no later than 12 Noon Wednesday 16th May 2012. Applications arriving after this time will not be considered.

Best wishes and good luck!

Gareth
