Fully-funded PhD position - deformation of "soft" geological materials (or, playing with food)

Hi all

We are seeking applicants for a fully-funded PhD studentship. Those of you who know me, know that I enjoy playing with food as an analogue for geological processes. I've finally hooked up with a food process engineer to use novel lab testing equipment to investigate geological deformation. One of his most recent grants was from the custard industry, fun stuff! In addition, the project will involve some beautiful fieldwork at classic sites in Scotland. The funding comes from the university of Strathclyde so includes fees for UK/EU nationals. A flyer with more information is attached.

Cheers
Zoe
